2012 Madden Road MusicFest

The Madden Road MusicFest is a micro-festival celebrating locally-made music. Designed to bring together locals on the Central Ohio music scene along with a few friends from out-of-town, the festival is hosted by the singer/songwriter and homegrown Ohio boy Daniel Dye and the members of his family who come together as The Miller Road Band. With sets featuring everything from Indie Rock (acoustic and otherwise) to straight-up Bluegrass to some soulful family-crafted Gospel, the Madden Road MusicFest has a little something for everyone.

And if all this isn’t enough, proceeds from the Festival will help fund the restoration of Mutual, Ohio’s historic Town Hall, a unique early 20th century brick building that was, at one time, the community center of this small crossroads settlement, playing host to town affairs — including the occasional basketball game. Madden Road MusicFest kicks off the building’s renewed life as a venue for the community to come together again. And there’s no better way to make this happen than to listen to music being made.

Where do you park for this event?

    • Street parking, except in designated no-parking areas (look for the orange cones), is available. Free parking is available as well at the Methodist church in Mutual, about a block away from the venue. Thanks for your interest and hope to see you there!

  3. Mindy Wilson says:

Can tickets be purchased at the door?

  4. Linda says:

Will there be beer for sale?

    • No, beer won’t be available (the event is alcohol-free). And here’s an interesting bit of historical information…in the deed to the old town hall, there is a provision that no alcohol will ever be sold on the premises. It seems that Mutual used to be just a little bit wild and banning alcohol from this particular building was part of an effort to calm the place down! Who would have thought?

  5. Sarah Heffner says:

I would like to know where this location is physically because I am familiar with Mutual and the only brick building at that crossroads is an Antique store. I purchased pre-sale tickets for this years festival and just want to make sure I show up at the right place.
    Thanks
